Position description
Project Scientist Series

The Department of Neurology, University of California Irvine Health System, anticipates openings in the Project Scientist Series (Assistant, Associate, and Full Project Scientist) in the following fields: General Neurology, Alzheimer's Disease and other Dementias, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Cognitive Neurology, Neuromuscular Disease, Neuro-Oncology, Neuropsychology, Quantitative Brain Imaging, Pain Management, Sleep, Experimental Therapeutics, Biomarkers and Precision Medicine, and Stroke.

Requirements:

M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds, previous contributions to research or creative activity.

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the appointment and have a strong research background. Significant and creative contributions to a research or creative project in the field of Neurology are expected.

Additional Information:

Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
