PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Instrumentation Foreman is responsible for inspection phases of Procurement activities to ensure that work produced by suppliers and subcontractors meet the quality objectives of the project. Conduct pre-work safety meetings and enforce strict site safety rules and environmental protocols. Verify that all instrument installations and tubing systems meet strict industry codes and project requirements.

TYPICAL DUTIES:



  • Collaborate with Project managers and engineers to plan upcoming shutdowns, start-ups, and daily work schedules.
  • Document and submit daily work progress reports, track labor hours, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance inspections using diagnostic tools and test equipment and making necessary corrections to keep equipment from failing
  • Supervise, schedule maintenance for repair work to be performed in a timely manner to minimize negative impact on mill production.
  • Review and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) and control schematics to guide field installations.
  • Assign daily tasks to journeymen
  • Writing work orders, recording maintenance results and reading and updating drawings and other documentation
  • Installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic systems, apparatuses, field devices, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Rebuilding valves and other instrument equipment.
  • Ensure the crew has the necessary materials, tools, and drawings to complete daily tasks.


    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



    • Minimum of three (5) years of mechanical, industrial or refinery maintenance supervisor experience.
    • Experience commissioning DCS's (Digital Control Systems) Experience working with pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
    • Experience with systems integration, instrumentation, networking, and communication.
    • Experience troubleshooting and/or installing.
    • Must pass craft test.
    • Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program.
    • Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and pass an MVR as a condition of employment
    • Must pass Pre employment background check.



      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



      • Must be able to travel. Travel Required
      • Must be willing to work frequent overtime.
      • Must be able and willing to work at elevated heights from ladders, scaffolding, aerial work platforms, etc.
      • Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment or tools.
      • Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
      • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
      • Work may include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment and/or trailers.
      • Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 12 hours per day.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

      Hiring range: $43.00 per hour

      Full range for this position, available over time: $43.00 hour
