Fortress Nutrition is growing-and we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, technically skilled Filler Operator to support our high-speed beverage production on our Weekend Shift. This is one of the most critical and technical roles on the production line, directly impacting product quality, efficiency, and overall output!

Schedule: Weekend Shift
  • Friday - Sunday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 3-day work week (36 hours worked, paid for 40 hours!)

Training Period (Extended - Skilled, Technical Role)
This position requires a longer, more in-depth training period due to the technical nature of the filler equipment and systems.
  • Training will take place during the week between Monday-Thursday
  • Focus includes: equipment operation, system monitoring (Brix, CO2, ratios), quality checks, troubleshooting, and documentation

Note: Candidates must be available to complete full training before transitioning to the weekend shift. Training hours/schedule is flexible based on your availability.

What You'll Do
  • Set up, operate, and maintain semi-automatic filling equipment
  • Monitor real-time system readings (Brix, CO2, water ratios) and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform hourly quality checks to ensure product meets specifications
  • Inspect cans for defects (damage, scratches, imperfections)
  • Conduct seam checks to ensure can integrity and quality
  • Monitor production yield and identify deviations using yield tracking tools
  • Maintain sanitation logs and ensure cleanliness of filler area
  • Complete accurate production and quality documentation in real time
  • Act quickly to identify and address equipment issues or slowdown, coordinating with Quality and Maintenance to resolve issues quickly
  • Maintain consistent communication through Slack in the Operations channel to communicate status, errors, issues, and other important production updates
  • Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and sanitation standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of skilled machine operating experience (high-speed equipment preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
  • Ability to understand and monitor system metrics (ratios, flow rates, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to multi-task proficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to use computer programs and applications to communicate with Operations and access critical data necessary to make decisions in this role

Must operate with a high sense of urgency, focus and attention-to-detail. This role requires constant monitoring of equipment and immediate response to any deviations or issues. Missed details or delays can directly impact product quality and production output. Individuals who are not attentive, proactive, and highly engaged will not be successful in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Filler Operator in food/beverage manufacturing
  • Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, high-speed packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards
  • Previous machine operating experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
  • Bending, kneeling, climbing (on ladders/mezzanines up to 20 feet high), and reaching as needed
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle tools, materials, and equipment/machinery
Pay & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00+ per hour (based on experience, with higher rates offered based on experience and qualifications)
  • Weekend Shift Premium + $1.00
  • Paid for 40 hours per week, while working only 36 hours
