About This Role
The purpose of this position is to work independently in research project on New World Screwworm. Duties will include planning and conducting experiments, writing SOPs and manuscripts, and supporting and mentoring technicians and students on related projects. This position is part of a research project funded by the USDA to develop tools to bolster preparedness or response to New World Screwworm. Worksite Description This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: * PhD in biology or related fields. The degree requirement is necessary to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level. Preferred Qualifications: * PhD in parasitology, microbiology, entomology, molecular biology or closely related fields Sponsorship eligibility: This position is eligible for sponsorship.
