Job Summary

The Technical Workforce Strategy Specialist supports the Strategic Workforce Manager in executing workforce strategy initiatives that strengthen the organization's ability to attract, engage, and retain highly qualified technical talent. This role is responsible for developing talent pipelines, promoting employer branding, supporting workforce planning activities, coordinating recruiting events, and building relationships within the engineering, aerospace, and defense communities to support current and future hiring needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain proactive talent pipelines for engineering, aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, and other technical disciplines.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through networking, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing methods.
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, hiring events, networking functions, military transition events, and university outreach activities.
  • Assist with workforce planning initiatives by conducting market research, talent mapping, and labor market analysis.
  • Promote and strengthen the organization's employment brand through professional networking and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, technical schools, military transition programs, professional associations, and industry organizations.
  • Maintain candidate pipeline activity, workforce metrics, and recruiting reports.
  • Coordinate recruiting events, outreach campaigns, and candidate communications.
  • Support incumbent transitions and strategic hiring initiatives as assigned.
  • Travel as required to support workforce strategy initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in workforce strategy, technical recruiting, talent sourcing, workforce planning, or a related field.
  • Experience sourcing technical or engineering talent preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, or similar applicant tracking and CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, engineering, or government contracting organizations.
  • Experience coordinating recruiting events or employer branding initiatives.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce planning strategies.
  • Familiarity with technical recruiting tools and sourcing platforms.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of workforce planning principles and talent pipeline development.
  • Ability to build relationships with technical professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and identify talent trends.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional presence with the ability to represent the organization externally.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel may be required to support career fairs, recruiting events, university outreach, military transition events, conferences, and other workforce strategy initiatives.
