TRUMPF is the world's leading supplier of lasersand laser systemsfor industrial use. AsSales Project Engineer,you will be workingonthe latest technologyand supply solutionsto industries shaping the future, for example, lasersystemsfor battery production for electric vehicles. You will receive extensive training to get started in the position and for continuous development throughout your career. You will be a contributing member in a growing Laser Technology team.In this roleyou willhave overall responsibilityforexecuting customer projects.Thus,you willcontribute significantly toTRUMPF's overall success as well ascustomer satisfaction.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take over responsibility, process, and execute new customer orders from start to finish
  • Address customer inquiriesappropriately, for example byconsulting withaproductmanagerhaving technical expertise or working with colleagues in Germany
  • Supervise the overall project progress & milestones, take necessary measures to ensure success
  • Conduct kick-offand status updatemeetings if applicable
  • Collaborate with multiple departments locally andoverseas, pull in technical experts and commercialsupport when useful, e.g.ourretrofit teamsoverseasor our local product managers and application engineers
  • Communicate with customers aboutexecution status of project, e.g. regarding delivery
  • Calculate project profitabilityfor customer orders
  • Maintaingood overview of large number of simultaneous projects and keep management informed
  • Any additional responsibilities asdeemed necessary by management

Travel

  • Routine travel within North America tosupportcustomers will be required. Less than10% anticipated.
  • Must maintain Valid Driver's License
  • Occasional overnights as needed

Physical Requirement

  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct normal amount of work on a computer

Education & Experience

  • Degree inEngineering,Technical, or Business-relatedfield.
  • 5+yearsexperiencewith project management in automotive or industrial manufacturing environment.Familiarity with machine tools, lasers,and/orlaser systems preferred.
  • Certifications in Project Management preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
