Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials within a distribution center environment. This role supports outbound and inventory operations by accurately fulfilling customer orders, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Associate works in a fast-paced warehouse setting and contributes to operational efficiency through organization, productivity, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities



  • Pick and fulfill customer orders accurately and in the order of priority presented.
  • Build pallets and stage completed orders in designated loading dock and shipping areas.
  • Group products appropriately to maximize pallet stability and efficient use of space.
  • Receive, store, and move incoming shipments throughout the distribution center.
  • Verify product quantities, counts, and stock-keeping units (SKUs) to ensure order accuracy.
  • Attach and verify shipping labels and documentation for completed orders.
  • Monitor product quality and report damaged materials or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control activities.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers.
  • Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to locate and process inventory.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Follow all instructions regarding pallet requirements, product segregation, labeling, and shipping specifications.
  • Adhere to established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and respond to internal and external customer requests.
  • Support additional warehouse activities and perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 6 months of cherry picker or stand-up reach forklift experience required.
  • Experience operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks required.
  • Experience operating Raymond material handling equipment strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RF scanners and warehouse management systems required.
  • Experience using Manhattan Warehouse Management System (MWM) preferred.
  • Basic mathematical and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
