Job Summary

The Material Handler I is responsible for the timely and accurate movement of materials, parts, and inventory throughout the warehouse and production areas. This role supports receiving, storage, inventory transactions, and production operations by operating material handling equipment and ensuring materials are properly received, stored, and delivered. The Material Handler I maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while adhering to quality and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Move production materials and parts accurately and efficiently between warehouse shelves, storage bins, and production locations.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and put away inbound deliveries.
• Pick, issue, and deliver parts and materials for production jobs.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, trailers, and external carriers.
• Operate material handling equipment, including stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, cranes, pallet stackers, and walkie riders.
• Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records in company systems and databases.
• Verify completed parts and materials meet established quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required.
• Ensure proper movement, handling, and storage of materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and production environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Previous material handling and warehouse experience required.
• Stand-up reach forklift experience required.
• Stand-up forklift experience required.
• Experience operating a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and pallet stackers preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and carriers.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory transactions and material handling activities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
