Overview

As an Associate Software Integrator supporting mission-essential national security initiatives, you will design, develop, integrate, and maintain secure, high-performance software solutions that enable critical intelligence, defense, and operational missions. Working alongside engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders, you will build scalable applications and services that directly support the protection of U.S. national security interests.

This position requires a strong foundation in modern software engineering practices, the ability to work in highly collaborative Agile environments, and a commitment to developing resilient, secure, and reliable solutions for complex operational challenges. Successful candidates are passionate about solving difficult technical problems while delivering capabilities that have real-world mission impact.

This role is based in Hanover, Maryland.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, making this an exceptional opportunity to join a mission-critical team supporting national security initiatives.


What will you do?

  • Software integrators unify complex aerospace and defense systems, driving agile development, DevSecOps and continuous integrator of hardware and software.
  • This role involves containerization, systems testing, and deploying secure solutions across platforms like Kubernetes.

Do you have what it takes?

  • TS/SCI with Poly required
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree with Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Four (4) years of experience as a software integrator, tester, system administrator, or systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Support rack, stack, and cabling, good with lifting 40-50 lbs.
  • Foundation in Linux, Docker, Kubernetees, and vSphere. Ansible experience is preferred.
  • Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+)
  • Must be willing to travel.

This role is eligible for a $10,000 External Referral Reward subject to terms and conditions.

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $120,000-$190,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
