What to Expect The New Programs Engineering team works at the front-end of vehicle design and development. This multidisciplinary team works to architect and prototype Tesla's future generations of vehicles. The role involves tight collaboration with other groups across Design, Vehicle Engineering, and Autopilot to create prototypes that accelerate Tesla's product development cycle. What You'll Do Fulllifecycleownershipoverentiresystemstocreatelow volume prototypevehicles Collaborateeffectivelywith other engineering teams,designers,fabricators, machinists, and technicians Self-define constraints to solvecomplexchallengesgivenambiguousinitialrequirements Perform concept development, mechanical design and analysis in 3DX, project management, documentation, and hands-on assembly Quickly learn complex new-to-you systemsanddrivenovelprototypeimplementationsfordesign andengineeringvalidation.
