What to Expect
The New Programs EngineeringPrototypeteam works at the front-end ofvehicledesign and developmentbycreating early prototype vehiclesforteams toquicklyevaluaterisksearly inprogramlifecycle.This isamechanicalintegrationrolethat will focus ontakingvarying scopeprototypeprojectsfromdesign through the buildprocess.Thisrole requires a holistic understanding of vehicle systems to interact withcross-functionalteamsthroughout various designand engineering groupsto create functional prototypes.
What You'll Do
- Manage top-level product CAD and BOM, use best practices for ensuring CAD completeness and compatibility, and supportrelease process
- Lead integration reviews, mediatepackagingconstraintsto ensure design solutions are aligned with prototype vehicle attribute targets
- Managebuild phase of prototype vehiclesincludingcreation of build timeline,overview of build process,andensuringbuild documentation in place
- Identifytheneedforanddesigntoolingto support prototype vehiclebuilds
- Support fabricators andtechnicians to triageand resolveissues during prototype vehicle builds
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor'sDegree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven problem solving and strong communication skills
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workloads, and meet tight delivery timelines
- Detail-oriented personality with effective documentationand reportingskills
- Extensive understanding of design principles that support functional product systems design
- Knowledgeable in part and large assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Outstanding design, packaging, and 3D modeling skills; CATIA experience is an advantage

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
