Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services, we are the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.



POSITION SUMMARY:

Is responsible for the administrative support functions which assist Vice Presidents and above in fulfillment of various duties. Independently functions to complete high-end and complex duties in a well-organized and timely manner. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Requires knowledge of John Hopkins and departmental policies and procedures.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  1. Provides wide range of complex office administration and support to the highest ranking members of the health system





  1. Serves as principal administrative contact and liaison with all hospital constituents and external contacts





  1. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential





  1. Develops, implements and administers departmental policies and procedures and office systems; interprets and communicates policies and processes





  1. Serves as principal contact and source of information for customers of the department





  1. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies





  1. Manages complex calendars; arranges for meetings, appointments and travel plans





  1. Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures





QUALIFICATIONS:



  • BS/BA with no experience or Associate Degree with 2 years' directly related experience or HD diploma/GED with 4 years of directly related experience.





  • Project coordination and database management experience





  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures with knowledge of MS office





  • Proficient in English language (read, write, speak)





  • Travel logistics
