What to Expect
The Workplace Supervisor is a position for an accountable and detail-oriented self-starter who must be extremely thorough, who possesses outstanding communication skills and demonstrates diligence and devotion throughout the entire coordination process through task and project completion. It is imperative for this individual to have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to provide clients (internal & external) with expedited solutions and insure requests are completed in a timely manner.
What You'll Do
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day Workplace operations across multiple sites in a 24/7, multi-shift environment - implementing standard procedures, optimizing resources, and upholding consistent Tesla standards
- Team & Vendor Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage Workplace and Janitorial staff; hold vendors, contractors, and business partners accountable to contract terms, performance standards, and deliverable schedules
- Facilities & Maintenance: Conduct site walks to assess conditions and identify deficiencies; manage preventative maintenance programs, equipment upkeep, work order tickets, and cleanliness and stocking levels across all facilities
- Project & Initiative Management: Lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements; manage ticket/WATT requests end-to-end (coordination, scheduling, purchase orders); and serve as the subject matter expert to identify and close technology and process gaps
- Budget & Administration: Maintain Workplace budgets in Minerva to support quarterly alignment; manage inventory spreadsheets; oversee office and breakroom supply ordering; and handle invoice review and document submittals
- Site Coordination & Safety: Travel between Austin-area sites as needed using company vehicles; issue temp badges per Tesla Security policy; and ensure all site operations align with EHS safety protocols and standards
- Stakeholder & Customer Experience: Build strong relationships with production, engineering, admin, and property management teams; develop site-wide communications in Tesla Voice; manage the Workplace email alias; provide event support; and drive continuous space monitoring for an exceptional workplace experience
What You'll Bring
- Leadership & Development: 2-3 years of people management experience with a proven track record of supervising, training, and developing staff
- Customer Service & Communication: Delivers best-in-class customer service in fast-paced environments; exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting professional site-wide communications
- Decision-Making & Problem-Solving: Strong independent decision-making, solutions-oriented mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Organization & Adaptability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to flex across locations, responsibilities, and shifting priorities while working independently or under direction
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Google Docs; professional certifications and/or change management training a plus
- Operational Flexibility: Available to work evenings or weekends as needed to meet operational demand; valid driver's license with a safe driving record required
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 35 lbs. and comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on facilities environment
