What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support facility infrastructure, utility systems, and capital project execution across manufacturing, pilot manufacturing, R&D, laboratory, and engineering facilities. This role is responsible for the design, operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems supporting research, development, and manufacturing activities. The successful candidate will lead facility infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning while partnering with operations, EHS, construction, maintenance, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include development of engineering scopes, design reviews, equipment selection, contractor management, startup support, and operational troubleshooting. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical field experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver projects in fast-paced technical environments.
