Short Description

  • Performs maintenance, repair and installation work on electrically operated equipment to include A/C and refrigeration, heating equipment, laundry and kitchen equipment, medical and lab equipment, lighting, appliances, pneumatic tube system etc.
  • Performs maintenance, repair and installation of low voltage systems to include nurse call, public address, intercom, computer system, security camera system, etc.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and electrical inspections as required. Responds to electrical trouble calls per maintenance requisitions. Observes and adheres to safety and other regulations and practices to include lock-out/tag-out/confined space and MRI safety and contributes to a positive work climate and overall team effort of the department. Completes all safety educational requirements.
  • General knowledge of electrical circuits and of electrical equipment, ability to read and use blueprints/schematics as normally acquired through 5 years' experience. Ability to move or lift tools and equipment in excess of 100 pounds on an occasional basis; frequent walking, sitting, climbing, bending, and stooping.
  • Experience working with 277/480-volt power distribution systems.
  • Experience with generators, Energy Monitoring and Control Systems (EMCS), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems, and ATS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support daily Plant Operations activities, including responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving maintenance requests, service calls, urgent operational issues, and facility-related emergencies as needed.

Experience Required

6-10 years' experience required. Progressive healthcare experience is preferred.


Education Requirements

High School diploma/GED required.


License/Certification Requirements

Valid New Jersey Electrical License required. Valid Driver's License required.


Special Requirements

Preferred:

  • New Jersey ICS Electrical Inspector Certification (ICS1 and/or ICS2).
  • Journeyman Electrician Certification.
  • Experience with emergency power systems, generators, ATS and UPS systems.
Hourly Rate Min $30
Hourly Rate Max $44
