You will be part of a creative, collaborative environment where innovative ideas thrive, all united by a singular mission to transform how people move. As a key contributor, you will make a profound impact, shaping public affairs strategies across a dynamic portfolio of markets and ensuring the successful integration of groundbreaking transportation solutions into communities. Are you ready to step into a pivotal role where your expertise will directly influence market development and shape the future of mobility? We are looking for a leader who can navigate complex local landscapes, foster crucial relationships, and drive the successful integration of groundbreaking transportation solutions into communities. This is an opportunity to be instrumental in aligning business milestones with regulatory timelines, making a tangible impact on how people experience transportation. If you have deep roots in public affairs, a sharp instinct for local politics, and the confidence to represent a visionary company in any setting, you are the leader we need to help build the future. What You'll Do
- Build regional public affairs strategies for diverse market portfolios, assessing community conditions and political landscapes to guide engagement levels at each stage of market development.
- Collaborate with in-market consultants to develop comprehensive market plans and achieve strategic goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior community stakeholders, including civic leaders, neighborhood associations, coalition partners, and key non-elected influencers across your markets.
- Support strategic mapping efforts in coordination with internal policy experts and consultants, identifying advocates and opportunities within your regions.
- Oversee the design and execution of community activations and events, ensuring each initiative aligns with market-specific objectives.
- Identify, cultivate, and mobilize local advocates to champion the company's mission.
- Work cross-functionally with internal policy, operational, and communications and marketing teams to ensure community efforts are aligned with business priorities and regulatory timelines.
- Provide regular intelligence briefs to leadership on community sentiment, political developments, and emerging risks or opportunities across your region.
- This role requires heavy domestic travel (~75%) and occasional weekend event availability to support community engagement and events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 5 to 10 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, community organizing, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience supporting and coordinating with consultants or agencies and collaborating effectively across diverse internal teams.
- Strong political and community instincts, with a proven track record of navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Ability to operate independently across multiple markets while maintaining tight alignment with a central team.
- Persuasive communication skills, capable of representing the company effectively at community meetings, civic hearings, and senior stakeholder conversations.
- Experience in technology, transportation, or other regulated industries.
