As a Security Officer Access Control Associate in Cheyney, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at an education location where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help manage access for students, staff, and visitors. This Access Control role combines customer service, communication, and visible presence to help support a welcoming environment and help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and assisting students, staff, visitors, and vendors with entry requirements at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Verify identification, issue visitor credentials, maintain access logs, and report unusual activity or policy concerns through appropriate security-related channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for security-related concerns.
• Support campus policies by monitoring doors, gates, and restricted areas, providing directions and information, and documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
