Principle Accountabilities:



  • Responsible for operating waste treatment plant. Operates machinery that converts wastewater in drains into a form that's safe to release into the environment.
  • Control equipment and monitor processes that remove or destroy harmful materials, chemicals, and microorganisms from wastewater.
  • Run tests to make sure that the processes are working correctly.
  • Keep records of water quality and other indicators.
  • Operate and maintain the pumps and motors that move water and wastewater through filtration systems.
  • Monitor the indicators and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Read meters and gauges to make sure that plant equipment is working properly.
  • Take samples and run tests to determine the quality of the water being produced.
  • Adjust the amount of chemicals being added to the water.
  • Use computerized systems to monitor plant processes.
  • Plan emergency reaction protocols.
  • Fix chemical leaks and oxygen deficiencies.
  • Keep records that document compliance.
  • Comply with the facilities food packaging safety programs processes and procedures.
  • Complete annual food packaging and safety training.
  • Report any discovered food packaging safety risks or concerns to the food packaging safety management representative or direct supervisor.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.



Basic Qualifications:




  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment



Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:



  • 2-4 years of Waste Water treatment experience
  • Experience in the corrugated box industry

  • Attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS




  • Starting salary for position: $29.31 per hour.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: Two weeks per calendar year.

  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
