Position Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a safe work environment, exceptional cleanliness standards, and outstanding guest service. This role works closely with the Executive Housekeeper to maximize guest satisfaction, protect hotel assets, and support efficient departmental operations.

Reports To: Director of Housekeeping


What You'll Do

  • Supervise, motivate, coach, and support the housekeeping team to ensure exceptional performance and productivity.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and turndown service to ensure hotel cleanliness and brand standards are consistently met.
  • Assign daily work schedules, communicate priorities, and coordinate special guest requests to ensure seamless operations.
  • Issue and monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment while maintaining inventory control and minimizing waste.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate Lost & Found records and assist guests with inquiries regarding misplaced items.
  • Support emergency preparedness by implementing safety procedures and ensuring team compliance with hotel policies.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and respectful work environment while adhering to all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as business demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the housekeeping department and overall hotel operations.


What We're Looking For

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout an entire shift.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
