Vertical Integration Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:



  • Support wire harness design activities.
  • Conduct new harness and component supplier evaluations.
  • Perform wire harness benchmark activities.
  • Support new supplier integration using internal Stellantis systems.
  • Work with wiring teams to identify and integrate cost save efficiencies into wire harness designs.
  • Support wiring team transition to built-to-print processes and keep team aligned on timing.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
  • Experience in working with electrical component suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation, and presentation of management-level high-quality presentation materials and reports
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
  • Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
  • Web publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
