Director of Equipment Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic management, acquisition, maintenance, and divestment of the regional equipment fleet and plant assets.
  • Partner with operations, finance, and safety leadership to optimize equipment utilization and minimize operational downtime.
  • Manage capital expenditure investment orders, negotiate supplier agreements, and evaluate rental versus purchase strategies.
  • Consolidate and analyze fleet performance benchmarks, reporting operational data to inform executive decision-making.
  • Direct due diligence on equipment and fixed assets during new corporate acquisitions.
  • Enforce strict compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) regulations across all shops and field operations.
Director of Equipment Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in heavy equipment or fleet management, ideally within the construction or materials sector.
  • Strong background implementing preventative maintenance strategies and managing capital assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze fleet data, control operational costs, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in outdoor field environments.
  • Certified Continuous Improvement or Fleet Management certifications (e.g., CEM) are preferred.
