Responsibilities



  • Process and manage requests for computing resources using an internal ticketing system, ensuring efficient and timely allocation.
  • Serve as a primary administrator for computing resources, proactively managing allocations to prevent any negative impact on critical development projects.
  • Collaborate extensively with researchers, software engineers, data analysts, and various internal teams to strategically address both immediate and long-term computing requirements.
  • Utilize and maintain sophisticated dashboards and internal tools to monitor resource availability, track usage, and grant necessary resources effectively.
  • Execute hands-on command-line operations and develop moderate scripting/automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and scalability of resource allocations.
  • Review, update, and develop new scripts to continuously improve and automate resource management tools and processes.
  • Handle sensitive and urgent situations related to resource allocation, engaging with senior stakeholders with exceptional professionalism and discretion.
  • Independently triage and resolve cross-team technical blockers, ensuring smooth project progression.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a technical program leadership role, demonstrating strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Robust data analytics and mathematical skills, including proficiency in SQL-level analytics and practical Python scripting.
  • A solid understanding of high-performance compute resources, particularly those used for advanced machine learning, and relevant resource management principles.
  • Familiarity with internal technology tools, including ticketing systems, change management systems, dashboards, command-line interfaces, and remote access solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, and navigate urgent, sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and collaborative skills.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • Prior experience within a large-scale technology organization, demonstrating an ability to quickly adapt and contribute.
  • Valuable experience with cloud infrastructure or cluster management.
