Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and dependable Administrative & Program Support Intern to assist with a variety of administrative, training, compliance, employee engagement, and operational support activities across the facility. This position will work with multiple departments, including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources (HR), Operations, and Administration. This is a temporary role and will not offer benefits. Expected duration is 9-12 months and will offer flexible scheduling during normal business hours. The Intern will be expected to work 20-30 hours a week between 8am-5:00pm M-F.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with databases and spreadsheets, communicates professionally, and is willing to learn and support a wide variety of projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update databases, tracking systems, and department records.
  • Conduct data entry, recordkeeping, and document management activities.
  • Assist with employee training administration, scheduling, preparation, and delivery of training materials.
  • Perform workplace inspections and document observations, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with EHS audits, assessments, inspections, and follow-up activities.
  • Support Human Resources events, employee engagement activities, and site-wide programs.
  • Assist with employee communications, presentations, posters, and awareness campaigns.
  • Help organize meetings, events, and department activities.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other administrative documents.
  • Scan, file, organize, and maintain electronic and physical records.
  • Assist managers with special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other administrative and program support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-3 years of office or administrative experience.
  • Actively enrolled in a 2 or 4 year program related to Environmental Health & Safety or business fields.
  • Available to work 20-30 hours per week.

Required Skills & Traits

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Fast and accurate data entry and database management skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Willing to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Willing to roll up their sleeves and assist wherever needed.

Preferred

  • Experience coordinating training sessions, events, or employee programs.
  • Experience maintaining databases or business records.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.

This opportunity is temporary employment for students that are seeking an internship. This is 100% in person and paid internship for 20-30 hours per week (except holidays) for approximately 10-12 months.

Compensation Range: $23.00 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
