Description
SUMMARY: The Aircraft Reliability Analyst uses statistical analysis to monitor aircraft performance and safety, ensuring that data-driven insights lead to continual improvements in maintenance practices, system preferences, and operational procedures. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the airline with statistical data
- Process analysis and reporting to maintain and improve reliability on time performance and airline safety
- Monitor, query, collect, organize, and analyze aircraft systems, structures, powerplant, and component reliability data
- Analyze data for trends
- Monitor performance and make recommendations to improve component specifications, aircraft systems, maintenance practices, and airline procedures
- Perform analysis and prepare reports for ad-hoc reporting to senior management
- Coordinate and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reliability reporting requirements to include FAA reporting, time series trends, histograms, pareto charts, etc.
- Prepare, support, conduct and/or present information at monthly airline CASS and Reliability meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have HSD/GED
- Minimum 2 years' experience in FAR 121 Reliability Department or similar environment
- Minimum 6 years maintenance experience with large aircraft, 4 years as technician
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Aviation/Aircraft Technology, Management or Engineering can apply to technician or maintenance experience
- Skilled with PC programs, MS Office, Word, Excel, Access, and other databases
- Ability to categorize discrepancies and correction action in accordance with ATA Spec 100/2200
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Good analytical, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Reliable, self-motivated with positive attitude
- Willing to work additional time if needed to meet deadlines
PREFERRED:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in aviation field
- College level courses in statistics and/or reliability
- Experience with computerized aircraft maintenance programs
- Boeing 767 support or maintenance experience
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- Airbus A330 experience
