Job Title: Project Coordinator - Supply Chain & Operations

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Project Coordinator - Supply Chain & Operations to join our team on a hybrid basis in North Chicago. In this role, you will serve as the primary operational liaison between Supply Chain, Operations, and cross-functional teams (including Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, R&D, and Commercial) supporting global product portfolios.
You will work closely with Project Leaders and Associate Directors to track, coordinate, and execute key operational initiatives-including
New Product Introduction (NPI) readiness, vendor management activities, inventory tracking, and manufacturing readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Project Coordination: Act as the central point of contact to coordinate project timelines, action items, meeting follow-ups, and milestone tracking across global cross-functional teams.
- NPI & Supply Chain Execution: Support New Product Introductions (NPI), manufacturing technology transfers, and vendor management initiatives to ensure operational readiness.
- Supply Disruption & Inventory Tracking: Maintain project/disruption trackers, support root-cause analysis, and track mitigation steps for raw material/packaging shortages or inventory constraints.
- Dashboarding & Reporting: Create and maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and status dashboards to report project health to leadership.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline project tracking workflows, reduce operational complexity, and drive continuous improvement within the supply chain framework.
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 4-8 years of experience in Project Coordination / Project Management would prefer
- Must-Have Core Skills:
- Project Management / Coordination: Proven track record of tracking milestones, managing project schedules, and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel: Hands-on proficiency with Pivot Tables, Slicers, Graphs, and Data Dashboards for tracking and reporting (Macros/VBA NOT required).
- Inventory Management: Practical understanding or exposure to inventory management, demand/supply dynamics, or stock tracking.
- ERP System Knowledge: Prior hands-on experience using SAP is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred (relevant experience can substitute for a degree).
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills
- Industry Experience: Background in Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is a strong plus (transferable project management experience from other industries is also welcome).
- PM Tools: Prior experience with Smartsheet or Microsoft Project (though primary project tracking is managed via Excel).
- Process Methodologies: Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement frameworks.
