Pharmacy Technician Washington, DC Pay From : $21 per hour MUST: The Pharmacy Technician's experience includes but is not limited to the following: High volume retail or out patient setting Working with insurance companies 3rd party insurance experience Calculate dosages Create labels Provide support to the pharmacist as needed Following up with insurance on rejected claims Must have strong organization skills Strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Well versed in processing and resolving prior authorizations and other insurance rejections Able to read and process prescriptions Experience with speaking to health care providers Excellent customer service experience DUTIES: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Greeting pharmacy customers onsite Answering phone calls Assisting with inquiries including prescription/medication questions Maintain pharmacy inventory Anticipating medications and supplies Placing inventory orders Removing outdated drugs Organizing medications for pharmacist Prepare Labels Calculating dosages Providing support to pharmacist as needed Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
