Are you a visionary Product Design Engineer ready to leave your mark on the next generation of consumer hardware? We're looking for a skilled engineer to dive into the heart of product development, owning critical design areas and delivering high-quality, reliable components that will reach millions of users. This is your chance to apply your engineering prowess, solve complex challenges, and innovate at the component level, directly influencing the success and quality of widely-used products.

Responsibilities



  • Apply advanced engineering fundamentals and data analysis to design, develop, and implement robust solutions for complex components and systems.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality, reliable mass-production components, leveraging expertise in areas such as sheet metal, machining, anodization, injection molding, coatings, raw materials, packaging, thermals, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and swiftly resolve urgent, time-dependent product design issues and potential risks.
  • Take full ownership of a product design area, material, component, or system of moderate complexity, guiding it successfully through multiple development milestones.
  • Influence product design decisions through demonstrated engineering expertise in a key cross-functional area, including RF, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Operations, or Manufacturing Processes.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, actively seeking and providing mentorship opportunities.
  • Conceptualize and implement unique and innovative component-level solutions that push product boundaries.
  • Continuously analyze and validate product designs using appropriate data, proposing and implementing impactful design improvements.
  • Communicate project progress effectively to stakeholders and regularly solicit feedback to ensure strategic alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Potentially contribute design expertise to user- or consumer-focused aesthetic areas such as Industrial Design, User Experience, or Human Factors, where applicable.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and comprehensive failure analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product design principles and methodologies.
  • Strong systems thinking approach to problem-solving and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
  • Solid understanding of the complete product development lifecycle.
  • Mastery of core engineering fundamentals.
  • Advanced skills in technical data analysis and synthesis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of material properties.
  • Expertise in manufacturing process knowledge.
  • Familiarity with cross-functional technologies relevant to product development.
  • Understanding of product architecture.
  • Experience with hardware systems and subsystems integration.
