Job Title: Customer Service Rep - Dispatch
Location: Edison, NJ

Job Purpose:

As Customer Service Rep - Dispatch at Hillebrand Gori, you will provide day-to-day administrative and customer service support for transportation and logistics operations by managing customer inquiries, processing orders and shipment documentation, coordinating with transportation providers, monitoring shipment movement, resolving service issues, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of supply chain activities, all in line with business strategy and financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies. You will work closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and procurement) and external partners (customers) to produce and deliver market competitive rates, quickly and efficiently to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, provide administrative support for inbound/ outbound phone calls, emails, web-based chats/instant messaging and multiple forms of voice and data centric communication related to customer service.
  • Administer simple customer requests such as inquiries, orders, service requirements and complaints over calls, emails, web-based chats/instant messaging.
  • Provide product/ service-related information to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Perform generally repetitive routine tasks such as data gathering, entering and validation.
  • Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
  • Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
  • Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
  • Tracking and fixing shipping errors.
  • Preparing bills and invoices.
  • Processing vendors invoices.
  • Handling customer claims.
  • Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.
  • Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
  • Coordinate with other departments, as needed.
  • Ensure regionally led offices and sales managers take action on critical order conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strongly preferred: 3+ years in shipping/logistics/supply chain management industry/transportation.
  • Preferred: container drayage/port experience.
  • Preferred: experience using transportation management systems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Advanced-level Excel knowledge.
  • Physical ability to: communicate clearly and accurately, operate a computer and other office equipment

Pay range: $50,000-65,000 total compensation, based on experience.
