Overview

VTG is seeking a Software Developer with strong software engineering experience and a proven ability to design, develop, analyze, and test complex software systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple programming languages, developing in Linux environments, analyzing software and network communications, and building automated testing solutions.


What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python, JavaScript, and other back-end programming languages.
  • Analyze unknown software code to identify relevant fields, understand application behavior, and replicate functionality as needed.
  • Design and develop software testing harnesses or implement continuous testing methodologies to improve software quality.
  • Install and configure Linux operating systems and develop complex Unix shell scripts to support software development and automation.
  • Analyze network traffic to understand client/server communications, protocols, and application requests.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).

Do you have what it takes?

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 11-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep experience in software development.
  • Demonstrated experience with Python.
  • Demonstrated experience with JavaScript.
  • Ability to program efficiently in at least one additional back-end (non-UI) programming language.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing unknown software code and extracting relevant fields to determine and mimic its behavior.
  • Ability to develop a software system testing harness or implement a continuous testing methodology on a project.
  • Demonstrated experience installing Linux from scratch and developing complex Unix shell scripts.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing network traffic to understand client/server communications and requests.
  • Demonstrated experience using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
