Job Title: Phlebotomist II

Duration: 3 Months

Location: 110 E Oak Dr Hagerstown MD 21740

Work Setting: Onsite - Office / Patient Service Center

Shift: 730a-430pm


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection from patients following established laboratory procedures.



  • Complete approximately 12-20 blood draws daily while ensuring patient comfort and specimen accuracy.



  • Perform blood draws using appropriate phlebotomy techniques and equipment.



  • Enter patient orders, demographics, and specimen information accurately into the Labcorp system.



  • Verify patient information and ensure proper specimen labeling and handling.



  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients in a professional and compassionate manner.



  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory policies and procedures.



  • Handle specimen processing and ensure samples are prepared according to testing requirements.



  • Work independently in an office-based environment while maintaining productivity and quality standards.



  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety guidelines.




Required Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.



  • Previous phlebotomy experience required.



  • Ability to perform venipuncture independently.



  • Experience collecting blood specimens accurately and safely.



  • Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.



  • Ability to work independently in an office environment.



  • Comfortable performing data entry and maintaining accurate patient records.
