Senior Software Engineer

Peraton's Space & Intelligence Sector is looking for a senior Software Engineer to join our diverse team at our Herndon, VA, office. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum Team primarily focusing on building and maintaining systems running in a containerized environment. This position is 100% on-site.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience considered in lieu of a degree requirement
• 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux
• 2+ years of experience with software architecture/design
• 2+ years of experience with Java
• 2+ years of experience with Python
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with Shell Script
• Experience developing an application that runs in a containerized environment
• Ability to lead a team of 3-5 engineers
• TS/SCI with current CI poly

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience with JavaScript
• Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
• Familiarity with NiFi
• Experience with cross-domain systems
