ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the plant, offices, and common areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring a safe, organized, and well-maintained environment while assisting with material handling and facility upkeep.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties across plant, offices, and common areas
  • Maintain sanitation in lunchrooms, restrooms, and production spaces
  • Empty trash bins, dumpsters, and waste containers throughout the facility
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and facility supplies, reporting needs to purchasing
  • Deliver supplies to designated areas, including office and production spaces
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing materials in storage areas
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including snow removal from entrances and walkways
  • Notify supervisors when waste removal or facility services are needed
  • Support overall facility organization and cleanliness standards
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. They are comfortable working in a production setting, handling physical tasks, and supporting multiple areas of the facility. This individual is proactive, organized, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid authorization to operate a forklift required
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and leadership
  • Ability to identify issues and solve problems efficiently


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
