Position Summary

The Training and Development Manager is responsible for identifying and assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, and implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills, development, and performance for Americas Commercial Operations (Healthcare). The Manager will monitor training program effectiveness and stay updated on training trends.

The Manager will ensure sustainability of standard work, and measure effectiveness of process improvements. This role will also support continuous improvement goals by defining the strategy for KPI management and by completing quarterly and annual report outs to key internal stakeholders across the global business. The Manager will deploy, reinforce and maintain a culture of Lean to promote continuous improvement sustaining operational excellence.

What You'll Do as a Manager, Training and Development
  • Align training with organizational goals for global leadership across Americas Commercial Operations for Healthcare
  • Oversee training and development staff
  • Assess employees' needs for training
  • Develop, design, and implement development system including quality metrics, service levels, creation of corrective and preventative action plans, and root cause countermeasure processes to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish and maintain standard work for KPI creation, maintenance (including quarterly and annual reviews), and standard communications to key internal stakeholders
  • Ensure Training and Development Program promotes a culture of continuous improvement by implementing standard Lean training based on career progression, preparatory training for Lean event participation, and training for KPI management
  • Identify and implement alternative training methods (such as web-based learning or software) into the Training and Development Program
  • Analyze data provided by the alternative training software to identify training gaps, new content requirements, and evaluate sustainability of recently implemented process improvements
  • Assess the effectiveness and impact of training initiatives and leverage data to continuously enhance offerings to meet dynamic business needs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit request
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, adult education, organizational development, educational technology, or instructional design/learning design
  • 8 years' experience in a professional setting
  • 2 years experience with direct contact with Customers, Vendors, and Sales
  • Possess working knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 13485 and FDA GMPs

Preferred:

    • Process development
    • Establishing and sustaining standard work
    • Developing and implementing process improvements
    • Project management
    • Participant in kaizen events to drive continuous improvement
    • Conducting training and creating training course content
  • 2 years project management experience preferred

Pay range for this opportunity is$92,650.00-$119,900.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
