POSITION OVERVIEW

At adidas, we never launch a product unless we consider it perfect.

Our product creation teams combine consumer insight, creativity, craftsmanship, and technical expertise to create products that perform at the highest level and connect with golfers around the world. Every product is shaped through thoughtful design, disciplined execution, and a commitment to delivering meaningful consumer and business impact.

The Designer, Accessories - Golf creates original, consumer-relevant, and commercially viable designs for the global adidas Golf Accessories range. With a primary focus on golf bags, gloves, trims, and related products, this role translates category briefs and creative direction into complete product concepts that reflect adidas design language while meeting consumer, performance, cost, and product creation requirements.

This role manages the design process for assigned products from research and concept development through technical handoff, prototyping, and commercialization. Working closely with Product Marketing, Product Development, Materials Development, suppliers, and the broader Golf Design team, the Designer helps create cohesive and compelling product experiences across the adidas Golf portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accessories Design and Creative Execution: Research and interpret golf, sport, lifestyle, consumer, material, and competitive trends to create relevant product concepts for assigned golf bags, gloves, trims, and related accessories.

Concept Development: Create sketches, color and material direction, graphics, construction concepts, and presentations that translate category briefs into compelling product solutions.

Technical Design and Handoff: Translate approved concepts into complete design packages with clear dimensions, materials, components, colors, graphics, construction intent, and other information required for product development.

Brand and Design Standards: Apply adidas design language, brand standards, legal guidance, and sustainability expectations throughout the design and product creation process.

Design Presentations: Present concepts, design rationale, and product recommendations at category reviews and key creation milestones.

Product Creation Partnership: Partner with Product Marketing to ensure design solutions address consumer needs, product briefs, target price points, and category strategy.

Development Collaboration: Partner with Product Development and Materials Development to resolve feasibility, cost, quality, durability, material, and manufacturing considerations while protecting design intent.

Prototype and Sample Review: Evaluate prototypes, samples, color submissions, and material developments and provide clear and timely design feedback through commercialization.

Seasonal Execution: Manage assigned design workload and deliverables against the seasonal product creation calendar while maintaining accurate design files, specifications, and approvals in relevant systems.

Innovation and Consumer Experience: Explore new constructions, carrying systems, closures, protection solutions, ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing methods that improve product performance and consumer experience.

Consumer and Athlete Insight: Incorporate athlete, consumer, and field feedback to improve usability, comfort, performance, functionality, and visual appeal.

Cross-Category Collaboration: Contribute to cohesive design stories and product expressions across Golf Apparel, Footwear, and Accessories.

Creative Partnerships: Build productive relationships with internal teams, suppliers, innovation partners, and external creative or technical partners to support product creation.

Decision Making and Accountability: Own design execution and recommendations for assigned Accessories products within approved category and design direction. Maintain accountability for creative quality, technical completeness, milestone readiness, and accurate handoff while escalating material design, feasibility, cost, legal, or timeline risks to Design leadership.
