Aquent is partnering with a globally recognized technology leader that is shaping the future of consumer electronics. This innovative company is seeking a visionary designer to transform how users interact with its cutting-edge hardware products in physical spaces. As a key contributor, you will redefine the retail experience, crafting immersive environments that captivate audiences and bring brand narratives to life.

You will be at the forefront of creating compelling physical environments, architectural layouts, and structural fixtures that showcase a diverse range of hardware products across various retail settings. This role demands a unique blend of environmental design, architectural expertise, and a deep understanding of consumer technology. You will translate 2D brand systems and consumer journey frameworks into functional, high-impact 3D physical spaces, ensuring every footprint, fixture, and material choice aligns with premium aesthetic and sustainability standards. Your work will directly influence how millions of consumers experience groundbreaking technology, leaving a lasting impression on their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive spatial concepts, floor plans, and custom fixture designs for high-profile retail environments, flagships, and scaled retail footprints.
  • Produce photorealistic 3D models, detailed renderings, and spatial fly-throughs to clearly convey spatial intent, lighting, and finish choices to key stakeholders.
  • Select and document physical materials, lighting systems, and manufacturing finishes that meet premium quality standards and sustainability guidelines.
  • Partner with Experience Strategists to optimize customer traffic flow, and work alongside Graphic Designers to seamlessly embed 2D brand identity into 3D structures.
  • Author rigorous design intent documents, technical plan views, and elevation drawings for external fabrication and build vendors.
  • Evaluate physical prototypes, material swatches, and full-scale mockups to ensure vendor execution aligns with spatial design specifications.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Rhino, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Vectorworks, KeyShot, or V-Ray).
  • Strong background using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and standard productivity suite tools.
  • Deep understanding of architectural constraints, retail fixture manufacturing, material properties, lighting design, and ergonomics/traffic flow.
  • Experience collaborating with fabricators, production partners, and external agencies to bring physical retail designs to life.
