Location:3913 Todd Ln, Austin, TX 78744, United States

Travel: Yes - travel to additional sites within the Austin area

Duration- 3 months

Shift- 8am- 5 pm


Position Overview

We are seeking a Phlebotomist - Float to provide patient and specimen collection services across assigned locations in the Austin area. The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, excellent communication abilities, and the flexibility to travel between sites as needed.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform blood collections through venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.



  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other laboratory testing.



  • Accurately enter patient information into the appropriate systems.



  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.



  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.



  • Maintain accurate patient and specimen information logs.



  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients.



  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.



  • Travel to additional patient service center locations when required.



  • Follow established procedures for patient identification, specimen collection, handling, and documentation.




Required Qualifications


  • Phlebotomy experience required.



  • High School Diploma required.



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.



  • Ability to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across all age groups.



  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.



  • Ability to provide excellent patient service.



  • Ability to work in a PSC/IOP environment.



  • Must have reliable transportation for travel between assigned sites.



  • Ability to adapt to different locations and work environments.



  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.




Work Environment


  • PSC/IOP setting.



  • Daily draw volume: approximately 20-40 patients.



  • Location size, standing requirements, specialties, and team structure may vary by assigned site.



  • Travel to additional sites within the Austin area may be required.




Training & Interview


  • Initial Training: 2-3 weeks



  • Interview: Individual onsite interview



  • Interview Rounds: 1



  • Interview Timeline: Within 48-72 hours of resume submission




Important Requirements

Candidates must have a reliable vehicle for travel between locations. Candidates with an unreliable vehicle or no-rehire status may be disqualified.

Potential for Extension: Yes

Potential for Conversion: Yes, with conversion compensation determined based on experience.
