Summary:
The Home Care OT supports MaineHealth Care at Home's (MHCAH) mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family centered care, commitment to our community, and accountability. In accordance with national standards of practice and within the guidelines and policies and procedures of both MHCAH and the Maine State Board of Licensure, the Home Care OT provides highly reliable, evidenced based, patient-family centered quality care through assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the effects of care provided.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
  2. License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers.
  3. Experience: Minimum one year of full-time equivalent experience in a supervised setting.
  4. Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families and health care team members.
  5. Analytical ability sufficient to identify changes in patients' conditions and to initiate appropriate action.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
