What You'll Do: The Business Development Manager - Compressed Air is responsible for accelerating the growth of Aerzen USA's compressed air business through the identification, development, and conversion of new business opportunities. This role serves as a market builder for a new division, developing channels to market, engaging strategic OEMs, identifying new applications, recruiting and supporting distributors, and creating demand for Aerzen compressed air solutions.? Working closely with Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and the broader Aerzen organization, the Business Development Manager develops and executes growth strategies that increase market awareness, generate qualified opportunities, and drive order intake. As opportunities mature, this role supports customers and channel partners through the full sales cycle from initial engagement through project execution. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Position Qualifications: Education: A four-year college degree required. Relevant technical and industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree where appropriate. Area of Study: Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Specialized Training: Compressed air, energy-efficiency, or related industry certifications preferred but not required.? Experience (yrs): Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales or business development experience. Minimum of 3 years selling industrial equipment, rotating equipment, capital equipment, or engineered technical solutions. Experience with compressed air systems, rotary screw compressors, oil-free compressors, blowers, vacuum equipment, or related technologies preferred. Experience developing distributors, representative organizations, OEM accounts, and strategic end-user relationships strongly preferred.? Software/Applications: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or equivalent. Experience with ERP systems, product configurators, quotation tools, and sales reporting systems preferred. Other: Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial process systems. Excellent prospecting, networking, presentation, training, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and business-planning capability. Ability to manage multiple priorities and opportunities simultaneously. Self-starter capable of operating independently in a fast-paced growth environment while contributing to a matrixed team. Results-oriented with demonstrated accountability for order intake, pipeline growth, margin performance, and customer satisfaction.? Ability to travel up to 60% of the time as needed for business needs.
