DESCRIPTION
The Video Content Marketing Specialist executes digital marketing assets to support UC San Diego Health's marketing initiatives, aligned with the business needs of the organization. Also provides video support for the CEO office, as needed. Leads video production and collaborates with team members to achieve high-quality marketing assets designed to attract patients to the health system. Manages digital assets to be used across MarCom-owned corporate channels and distributed to external partners. Manages video hosting platforms and maintains production equipment and studio. Captures photography in support of visual marketing initiatives. Ensures deliverables align with brand standards and meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training. Related experience: video production and equipment, video editing and studio production setup. Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of design and user experience, including skill to design in an appealing, lively and relevant way. Thorough understanding of technical language and requirements of the assigned work. Thorough knowledge of content management systems and / or relevant web applications used for web production and organization-specific computer application programs. Thorough skills to create clear, easy-to-navigate, informative, accurate, well-designed, and functional web sites that provide web content consistent with the organization's message and in keeping with management directives and client objectives. Thorough understanding of organization's processes, procedures, and applicable rules and regulations for web communications. Thorough technical skills in computer applications for web production, image handling, publishing and design, illustration, presentation preparation, animation, web interaction, and / or other state-of-the-art web communication capabilities. Thorough interpersonal communication skills. Thorough skills to develop and implement original ideas and correctly identify and effectively solve problems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated professional portfolio showing breadth of video production and editing capabilities. Demonstrated experience producing marketing-focused video content. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate projects, manage schedules and collaborate effectively across large and complex organizations. Technical proficiency using production equipment such Sony mirrorless camera systems and cinema series, studio and location lighting techniques, lavalier and shotgun microphones, camera support and gimbal systems, teleprompter and editing workflows. Experience setting up studio and equipment management. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Knowledge of ensuring videos meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility requirements. Experience in producing corporate marketing-focused video content featuring clinical programs and subject matter experts. Experience with editing, color correction, graphic treatments and effects, and final formatting for video hosting and social media channels. Experience producing motion graphics in support of digital ads. Experience managing digital asset systems, including the ability to organize, manage, and deliver multimedia assets accurately and in a timely manner. Knowledge of best mediums used for broadcast production and publishing across digital channels. Experience interviewing individuals on camera, with the ability to put subjects at ease and capture natural delivery of the intended messaging. Experience translating complex topics into engaging, discoverable videos. Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements, including patient privacy, consent and compliance in clinical video production settings. Knowledge of the institution, its achievements and mission.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and twist; and safely lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects.
