Academic Advisor (Student Services Advisor I) USC Marshall School of Business Undergraduate Advising & Student Affairs USC's Marshall School of Business is seeking an Academic Advisor to join our team. The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Student Affairs supports the education and development of undergraduate students in USC's Marshall School of Business by providing a broad array of academic support and student engagement programs and services, including: academic advisement; internal transfer admissions; new student orientation; scholarships, honors, and awards; and student organization support. Marshall's Undergraduate Advising and Student Affairs is responsible for providing advising and student support to more than 4300 undergraduate majors and 1400 minors. Our office is currently operating on a hybrid work schedule. Academic Advisors serve as students' primary point of contact throughout their undergraduate experience. In addition to providing academic planning and policy guidance, advisors deliver holistic advising that addresses academic, personal, and professional development needs. Advisors manage individual caseloads, engage in proactive intrusive outreach to students experiencing academic setbacks, connect students with campus resources, develop individualized success plans, monitor degree progress, and intervene early to keep students on track for timely graduation. The Marshall advising team also administers the internal transfer process, minor admissions, emphasis declarations, specialized advising for joint-degree programs, and coordinates new student orientation programming for both Marshall and Leventhal students. Anticipated Hiring Range: The hourly rate range for this position is $29.30 - $37.87.
