SUMMARY: The Engineering Technician III reports to the Program Manager and will perform assignments that directly and indirectly support system installation and integration on board US Coast Guard Boats and Cutters. Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed; performs recurring work independently; Performs at this level or a combination of such typical duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs installation/removal/upgrades for electrical/electronic/C4I tasks (i.e. wiring of terminal boxes, testing and verifying connections, meggering cables, testing and troubleshooting, etc.). EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE: * Must be a US citizen and possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interface with personnel and other government agencies at all levels. * Its desired but not required to have proficiency in operation of warehouse equipment to include pallet jacks and forklifts. * Ability to Travel between 60% and 75% annually.
