Establishes and maintains inventory management, regulatory compliance, documentation and financial control processes for owned, consigned, biologic and non-biologic implants utilized within Perioperative Services. Serves as the departmental subject matter expert for implant and biologic management, including recall management, tissue tracking, inventory stewardship, documentation standards and compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Provides operational oversight of implant management processes to support patient safety, regulatory compliance, inventory integrity and adherence to organizational policies and departmental business practices, including accurate charge capture, billing support and financial accountability.
Collaborates with Perioperative leadership, clinical service coordinators, Supply Chain, vendors and other stakeholders to support implant acquisition, product implementation, inventory stewardship and continuous process improvement. Provides recommendations to departmental leadership regarding implant utilization, compliance, inventory controls, operational practices and process improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare, relevant clinical certification or a combination of comparable clinical education and/or experience
- Must have familiarity with State and Federal regulations on biological implant tracking and documentation.
- Demonstrated clinical experience working in the Operating Room required.
- Experience in materials management in the Operating Room or other Hospital clinical department setting is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with and managing implants is required.
- Skills in verbal and written communication and ability to effectively interact and provide excellent timely customer service to all staff and external clients.
- Ability to establish effective interpersonal/working relationships with all licensed and non-licensed personnel.
- Knowledge of current disinfection, sterilization and infection control practices, principles and standards.
- Knowledgeable and capable in developing policy and procedures as well as implementation and interpretation of policy and procedures.
- Decision making/judgment skills to respond quickly to changing patient care/staff needs.
- Ability to model assertive communication techniques in a stressful environment.
- Ability to problem solve creatively.
- Ability to interact and contribute effectively as a management team member.
- Must have familiarity with State and Federal regulations on biological implant tracking and documentation.

Department Overview
Perioperative Services at UC Davis Health encompasses multiple Operating Rooms, Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Units, and Sterile Processing Departments, across the UC Davis Health Campus. Surgical care is provided across the entire life spectrum, includes a wide range of inpatient and ambulatory surgical specialties, including but not limited to: ACS Level 1 Trauma, Bariatric, Burn, Cardiac, Colorectal, Endocrine, ENT, Gynecology, comprehensive Neurosurgery, Oncologic, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Trauma, comprehensive Orthopedic (Spine, Foot & Ankle, Hand & Hand Trauma), Otolaryngology, Pain, Plastics, Robotics, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular, Urology, and Uro-Gyn. Work Environment
