Description

The Associate Planner supports the planning and coordination of publishing programs, helping ensure titles move efficiently from planning through publication. The role involves maintaining schedules and title information, preparing reports, coordinating with internal teams, monitoring deadlines, and supporting commercial and operational planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced publishing environment.

What you'll do:



  • Support end-to-end planning and scheduling of multiple publishing titles and seasonal programs, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate title information, publication dates, pricing, formats, metadata, and schedules across internal systems.
  • Coordinate with editorial, production, marketing, publicity, sales, and distribution teams to keep publishing projects on track.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, title lists, presentations, and planning documents for internal stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones and publication deadlines, identify potential delays, and communicate schedule changes to relevant teams.
  • Assist with sales reporting, forecasting, inventory monitoring, and commercial planning activities to support business objectives.
  • Manage multiple titles and projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Update publishing databases and internal systems to ensure timely and consistent information across departments.
  • Coordinate planning meetings, prepare materials, document actions, and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative, reporting, and scheduling processes to increase efficiency and visibility.


What you'll bring:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in data entry or inventory-related roles
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


The salary range for this role is $65,000
