Base Compensation Range: $24.1587 to $30.1683 USD

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

Job Summary:

The Production Process Operator IV is responsible for operating and monitoring complex production processes, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing operations. This position requires an experienced operator who has advanced technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and expertise in optimizing production processes, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high product quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Process Operation & Monitoring:



  • Operate and monitor sophisticated production equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines as necessary, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and material levels, adjusting settings as needed to maintain product quality.
  • Ensure all production processes are running within specified limits to meet production targets.


Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:



  • Identify process abnormalities or equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot to resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime.
  • Work with maintenance personnel and other technical staff to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve process reliability.
  • Continuously improve equipment and process performance to maximize efficiency.


Quality Assurance & Compliance:



  • Ensure product quality standards are met by conducting routine inspections and quality checks during production.
  • Document results of quality tests, including any deviations, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO).
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, logs, and other documentation.


Safety & Environmental Compliance:



  • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and actively promoting safety awareness among team members.
  • Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials and waste, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Participate in safety training, hazard assessments, and emergency drills as needed.


Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:



  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase production efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to identify areas for process optimization.
  • Propose and implement changes to improve production throughput and reduce variability.


Team Collaboration & Training:



  • Serve as a mentor and leader to junior operators, providing guidance and training on process operations, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with production teams, quality control, maintenance, and engineering to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Assist in the development and training of new SOPs, work instructions, and best practices for operational excellence.


Data Entry & Reporting:



  • Accurately record production data, machine settings, maintenance activities, and quality checks.
  • Generate and submit reports related to production performance, downtime, material usage, and any process-related incidents.


Equipment Maintenance:



  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
  • Notify maintenance personnel of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs that require professional attention.


Experience/Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.


Knowledge & Skillsets Required:



  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints, schematics, and process diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with other team members, supervisors, and departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet production deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.


Physical Demands (US Only):



  • Standing or walking: Frequently during production processes and equipment operation.
  • Lifting: Handling and moving materials or products, sometimes heavy.
  • Manual dexterity: Using tools and operating machinery with precision.
  • Bending and crouching: Accessing machinery or performing tasks in confined spaces.
  • Repetitive motions: Repeatedly performing assembly or production tasks.


Environmental Conditions (US Only):



  • Workspace: Climate control (air conditioning or heating) to ensure comfort.
  • Lighting: Artificial lighting
  • Noise Levels: Light to moderate


Ergonomics:



  • Ventilation: Good ventilation to ensure a comfortable working environment, though this can vary depending on the building.
