Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach & Director of Operations. Become a part of the Temple family and you will have access to the following:
Position Summary: Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach Track & Field/Cross Country & Director of Operations assists in developing a Division I competitive Women's Track & Field/Cross Country program. The primary function of the Assistant Coach is to assist with the cross-country team and assist with the sprints/hurdles in women's. The Assistant Coach will evaluate and recruit qualified student-athletes to Temple University whose athletic skills would make the program highly competitive and whose academic abilities make them excellent candidates for a meaningful academic experience and graduation from Temple University. The Assistant Coach Track & Field/Cross Country & Director of Operations supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program established by the Head Coach. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and controlling aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, and related booster clubs. The Assistant Coach Track & Field/Cross Country & Director of Operations is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the Department, and the sport, both on and off the field of competition. The Assistant Men's & Women's Cross-Country Coach is expected to know and comply with NCAA regulatory policies governing their sport, as well as NCAA and conference policies governing recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. The Assistant Coach Track & Field/Cross Country & Director of Operations performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: A bachelor's degree and at least two years of collegiate coaching sprints and hurdles, and some experience coaching distance at the Division I level or as a collegiate athlete.
