Iteris is seeing a Solutions Specialist to work out of the Richmond, VA office. The successful candidate will configure and support enterprise asset management solutions, translate customer needs into practical technical and process improvements, and guide implementations from requirements through deployment. This role combines solution design, data analysis, troubleshooting, training, and customer collaboration to help organizations improve asset performance and operational efficiency.



What you will be doing:




  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to translate business and operational needs into practical software, data, process, and integration solutions. Gather and refine requirements, evaluate alternatives, document workflows, and establish clear acceptance criteria
  • Configure and support enterprise asset management solutions, including asset structures, classifications, attributes, inspection programs, maintenance workflows, work orders, permissions, business rules, dashboards, mobile processes, and location-based information
  • Help customers develop reliable asset inventories and sound asset-management practices. Establish standards for condition assessment, lifecycle planning, risk-based prioritization, maintenance, rehabilitation, replacement, and performance measurement
  • Plan/support software implementations from initial design through production deployment. Define scope, dependencies, resources, milestones, validation requirements, training, transition activities, and contingency plans; coordinate go-live activities and provide post-deployment support
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements in governance, data quality, technology, controls, efficiency, and organizational readiness. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and develop future-state processes that clarify ownership and improve consistency
  • Diagnose and resolve software, database, integration, configuration, access, data, and environmental issues. Manage incidents through resolution, communicate impact and progress, develop safe workarounds, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective or preventive action
  • Develop SQL queries and support controlled data imports, exports, mappings, validation, reconciliation, and correction activities. Establish data-quality standards and maintain clear documentation of definitions, formats, relationships, ownership, and approved values
  • Develop and maintain interfaces with customer, vendor, agency, and third-party systems. Prototype and estimate proposed solutions, implement approved customer functionality, assess technical risk, and minimize unnecessary divergence from the supported product, technical risk, and minimize unnecessary divergence from the supported product
  • Define and execute test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, user-acceptance, and post-deployment validation. Document defects clearly, assess their severity and ownership, and verify that changes satisfy requirements without disrupting existing functionality
  • Produce clear technical, administrative, operational, and user documentation, including procedures, guides, quick references, FAQs, training materials, presentations, demonstrations, and support resources
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training for end users, administrators, and internal staff. Transfer knowledge and operational ownership while ensuring that support procedures and unresolved items are clearly documented
  • Facilitate customer meetings, provide accurate project and operational updates, and contribute technical approaches, staffing plans, schedules, assumptions, demonstrations, and qualifications for proposals and business-development activities
  • Travel as needed to support implementations, training, troubleshooting, customer meetings, and business development. When working remotely, maintain appropriate availability, productivity, communication, and information-security practices



What you need to be successful in this role:




  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, business, or a related field-or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Over five (5) years of relevant experience in enterprise asset management, software implementation, business and systems analysis, data management, customer support, or a related field
  • Strong communication, analytical, technical, and customer-facing skills are required



Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $56,400 to $97,800 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
