Job Description

The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Technical Coordinator to support the University of Missouri Volleyball program through advanced technology, video analysis, digital content creation, and operational coordination. Reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach, this position serves as the program's technical expert, leveraging analytics, coding, video systems, and creative digital tools to enhance team preparation, player development, and competitive performance. The Technical Coordinator will play a critical role in organizing practice and competition technology, producing scouting and training resources, managing multiple technical projects, and supporting the overall operational success of the volleyball program while ensuring compliance with University, NCAA, and SEC regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Analysis, Scouting, and Performance Support (35%)

* Prepare opponent scouting reports, game plans, and scouting presentations using advanced analytics and video analysis software.
* Analyze match and practice data to identify performance trends and provide actionable insights to the coaching staff.
* Build and maintain customized coding systems and databases to support statistical analysis and player evaluation.
* Develop creative visual presentations and graphics that communicate scouting information effectively to coaches and student-athletes.
* Collaborate with the coaching staff to provide data-driven recommendations that enhance match preparation and competitive performance.

2. Video Technology and Digital Systems Management (30%)

* Coordinate all volleyball video operations, including scheduling and managing Volleymetrics camera recordings for practices and competitions.
* Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain video, audio-visual, and technical equipment used during practices, matches, and team meetings.
* Organize and break down practice and competition footage for coaching review and player development.
* Maintain digital video libraries, coding templates, skill progressions, and technical resources for the volleyball program.
* Research and implement new technologies and software solutions that improve program efficiency and performance analysis.

3. Creative Content and Player Development Resources (20%)

* Design graphics, video montages, and digital instructional materials to support player development and team education.
* Create off-season training resources, including skill progression libraries and video examples featuring elite-level athletes.
* Develop engaging multimedia content that enhances learning, communication, and program initiatives.
* Provide technical instruction and support to coaches and student-athletes regarding the use of video, analytics, and educational technology.

4. Program Operations and Administrative Support (10%)

* Assist with clinics, camps, exhibitions, and other volleyball program events as approved by the University.
* Coordinate technical logistics for practices, competitions, and team meetings.
* Maintain organized digital records, equipment inventories, and operational documentation.
* Anticipate program needs, manage multiple concurrent projects, and provide proactive support to the coaching staff.

5. Other Duties (5%)

* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletics administration.
* Ensure compliance with University, NCAA, and SEC rules, policies, and procedures.

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong technical aptitude with experience in coding, data management, analytics platforms, or sport technology systems.
* Experience with volleyball video analysis software, including Volleymetrics or comparable performance analysis platforms.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical equipment and software.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to anticipate program needs with minimal supervision.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: Market Position; salary is commensurate with education and experience.
