Description
UCLA Health is
seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our team
in a flexible staff physician role supporting UCLA Health Radiation Oncology
locations across Southern California. This position offers the opportunity to
provide high-quality, patient-centered cancer care while supporting practices
throughout our growing regional network, with clinical coverage of up to eight
days per month. The role is ideal for a physician who values flexibility,
enjoys practicing across diverse clinical environments, and is interested in
bringing UCLA Health's expertise and standard of care to patients throughout
Southern California.
The UCLA Department
of Radiation Oncology is committed to advancing cancer care through innovative
treatment approaches, advanced technologies, and close multidisciplinary
collaboration. As a staff physician, you will work alongside experienced
oncology professionals to provide individualized radiation therapy and
coordinated cancer care across UCLA Health's regional practices.
Some of your clinical
responsibilities include:
  • Provide
    Radiation Oncology coverage at UCLA Health locations throughout Southern
    California, based on clinical and operational needs
  • Evaluate
    and manage patients who may benefit from radiation therapy as part of
    their comprehensive cancer treatment
  • Provide
    radiation oncology consultation, treatment planning, on-treatment
    management, and follow-up care
  • Develop
    individualized radiation treatment plans based on each patient's diagnosis
    and clinical needs
  • Collaborate
    with medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiology, pathology, medical
    physics, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
  • Utilize
    advanced radiation therapy technologies and techniques to deliver precise,
    patient-centered treatment
  • Maintain
    timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic medical
    record
  • Support
    quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within Radiation
    Oncology
  • Provide
    clinical coverage for up to eight days per month
Required Qualifications
  • MD or
    DO
  • Board
    Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
  • Completion
    of an ACGME-accredited Radiation Oncology residency
  • Active
    California medical license or eligibility for California licensure
  • Ability
    and willingness to provide clinical coverage across UCLA Health Radiation
    Oncology locations throughout Southern California
  • Commitment
    to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cancer care
  • Strong
    communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary clinical
    environment

The University of
California, Los Angeles is required to provide an estimate of the salary range
for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are
considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based
on candidate qualifications and experience. At
5% time, the base salary rate for this position is $666.67 per month or
$8,000.00 per year. At 5% time your non-base pay rate for this position is
$1,333.33 per month or $16,000.00 per year. Your total compensation at 5% time
is $2,000.00 per month or $24,000.00 per year.
