The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a strategic finance leader responsible for the company's planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and performance analytics. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role partners with executive and functional leaders to translate business strategy into financial plans, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that support growth, profitability, cash flow, and disciplined resource allocation. The Director will lead and develop the FP&A team while advancing scalable, data-driven planning and reporting practices across the organization.
Lead the annual operating plan, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes, including revenue, operating expense, headcount, capital, and cash flow assumptions.
Partner with executive and functional leaders across Product, Technology, Operations, Commercial, and corporate functions to evaluate performance, shape priorities, and support business decisions.
Develop and maintain driver-based financial models, scenario analyses, and investment cases for strategic initiatives, product investments, pricing, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities.
Deliver clear monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including variance analysis, trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Establish and monitor financial and operational KPIs, executive scorecards, and dashboards that improve visibility, accountability, forecast accuracy, and decision quality.
Drive continuous improvement, standardization, automation, and self-service analytics across planning and reporting processes and tools.
Build, coach, and retain a high-performing FP&A team; set clear expectations and strengthen the team's analytical, business-partnering, and executive communication capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
10 or more years of progressive finance experience, including substantial responsibility for FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and management reporting.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial audiences.
What we would like to see
MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or another relevant advanced degree or professional credential.
Experience in healthcare technology, SaaS, software, revenue cycle management, or a private-equity-backed organization.
Experience with Power BI and enterprise planning or reporting platforms such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Oracle, or NetSuite.
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, integration activities, investor reporting, board materials, or value-creation initiatives.
