The Welder plays a critical role in supporting the repair and restoration of Gas and Steam Turbine components by performing high-quality cladding and welding operations. In this role, you will leverage your welding expertise to ensure components are repaired to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence. Working independently and collaboratively, you will help meet production schedules and support the delivery of reliable solutions to our customers.

As a Welder, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Performing cladding and overlay welding of components using TIG and MIG welding processes in accordance with approved weld procedures.

  • Setting up welding equipment and welding components within established procedure parameters.

  • Conducting weld repair activities on a variety of Gas and Steam Turbine components.

  • Performing detailed grinding and finishing components following weld repairs.

  • Maintaining compliance with company quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Adhering to company safety, health, and environmental policies at all times.

  • Supporting production schedules by completing assigned work accurately and efficiently.

  • Collaborating with quality, engineering, and production teams to ensure successful completion of repair activities.

  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Supporting operational requirements by flexing between shifts as business needs require.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.

  • Have 7+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing, repair, or industrial environment.

  • Have experience operating foot-controlled TIG and MIG welding equipment.

  • Have hands-on experience performing manual TIG welding.

  • Have experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Have experience performing weld overlays, cladding, and weld repairs on complex components.

  • Have knowledge of API and ISO quality requirements and inspection standards.

  • Have experience with SMAW and GMAW welding procedures, preferred.

  • Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

  • Have the ability to work independently while meeting production schedules and quality expectations.

  • Have a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

  • Have the flexibility to work first or second shift based on business requirements.

  • Have an advanced degree that may be considered in lieu of some experience requirements.
